HPCL's tank trucks pay tolls by FASTag on every trip from a terminal to a retail outlet. This tool checks each trip against the route HPCL defined, settles the ones that match, routes the rest to an officer, and pays each transporter once a month.
How a toll gets reimbursed
HPCL defines the route
Pick a terminal and a retail outlet. The route comes from the routing service, the toll plazas on it are found automatically, and the expected toll and an upper limit are set per vehicle class.
VTS reports the trip
Every trip starts at a terminal and is recorded in HPCL's Vehicle Tracking System. The road actually travelled and the FASTag debits arrive through an adapter.
Matching trips pay themselves
A trip that followed its route and was charged the right tolls is validated automatically. Deviations are detected and explained, never silently paid or silently rejected.
An officer decides the rest
Exceptions go to an HPCL officer with the map, the plaza-by-plaza comparison and the LSP's receipts, and are approved at an approved rate or rejected with a remark.
LSPs attach their bills
Bills and receipts are uploaded in bulk and assigned to trips. An LSP only ever sees its own trips, bills and statements.
Paid monthly, traceably
Each calendar month becomes a payment batch per LSP, exported for the bank and marked paid with the UTR — so what is pending, and for how long, is always visible.
